Both anterior (pain at the front of your head) and posterior (pain at the back of your head) migraines can be very debilitating. The number of units are variable depending if your migraines are anterior or posterior and can involve injections into the masseter muscle (TMJ), temporal region, the sides of your head, the base of your head, into your neck, on your shoulders and into the upper portion of your back. When other treatment option do not provide enough relief, Botox can be considered as a conjunctive treatment towards pain control.
